On December 2, 2019, the 78th Plenary meeting of the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) opened in Brisbane (Australia). The topic of the meeting is Global Leadership: Pushing Cotton’s Boundaries.
The event, sponsored by the Australian government and the Australian cotton industry, brought together ICAC members from 30 countries. Event participants will meet with Australian farmers, ginneries, shippers, marketers, analysts, brokers, politicians, textile manufacturers, agricultural suppliers and investment bankers, as well as sharing ideas and identifying effective ways for a more vibrant cotton industry.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzpakhtasanoat Mr. Iskandar Iskandarov and the Director General of the JSC “Pakhtasanoat Ilmiy Markazi”, the Chairman of the Asian Cotton Research and Development Network Mr. Tokhir Kuliev participate in the Plenary. Active consultations have begun with the leadership of the ICAC and with colleagues from member countries of the organization.
The meeting will last until December 6th.
